Kamaz says plans to raise truck production significantly in 2021

MOSCOW, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Russian truck producer Kamaz plans to raise truck output significantly in 2021, CEO Sergei Kogogin told reporters on Monday.

"The task we have undertaken, to revise the (production) business plan upwards significantly. Whereas we started the year from 185 cars per day,  we raised the rate to 190 and have kept the rate of 200 per day since last week. The goal is 210 cars for the second half of the year," Kogogin said.

The official added that Kamaz has orders until September and is accepting bookings for September.

The company plans to produce 2,400 K-5 trucks in 2021, 6,700 in 2022 and more than 11,000 in 2023, he also said.
